A Note from Our Founder Chloé
The Reason I Started Pilates with Chloe:
I discovered Pilates 8 years ago, initially incorporating it alongside other forms of exercise, primarily for aesthetic reasons before having children. Like many, I experienced the dreaded feeling of going to the gym, the sense of not truly belonging there, and pushing myself to the point of exhaustion without reaping the mental and sustainable benefits. I had convinced myself that unless I pushed myself to the extreme in the gym, I wouldn't achieve any significant results.
Then, motherhood happened—a remarkable journey where my body selflessly nurtured and grew another life. Suddenly, my freedom diminished, and I no longer had the luxury of driving to the gym for hours on end. I needed to find alternative ways to prioritize my well-being. That's when exercise became my medicine—a remedy for my mind.
After giving birth, I faced the challenges of diastasis recti (after both children), a condition that leaves your abdominal muscles completely separated. Additionally, I endured a period of immobility due to sepsis and a spinal abscess with excruciating chronic pain along with a newborn. Pilates came to my rescue. It healed me physically and mentally, enabling me to regain strength, a positive mind set and transform my body.
While some may attribute my progress to "good genes," the truth is that I dedicated 20-30 minutes of self-love to myself, five to six times a week. Pilates became my sanctuary—a practice that brought happiness, transformed me into the best version of myself, made me a better mother, and improved my overall well-being, regardless of the challenges of motherhood. The practice for me was sustainable and actually something I look forward to each day.
It is this transformative experience that I want to share with other women. I want to offer them a sustainable and enjoyable form of movement for both mind and body, without the need to break the bank. I yearn to create a community of like-minded women, whether they have children or not, who share a common desire—to be the best versions of themselves. I want to support them in dedicating 20-30 minutes a day to self-care and help them let go of the belief that working out has to be dreadful.
Through my pilates wellness platform, I aim to empower women to prioritise their well-being, nurture their bodies, and cultivate a positive mindset. Together, we will build a community where women can thrive, finding joy and fulfillment in their wellness journey, embracing the beauty of movement, and celebrating their strength.
